SERVICE
This page will highlight my service contributions at various levels. At the School of Education I serve as the coordinator of the Exceptional Student Education programs (graduate and undergraduate), the PI and Co-PI of two federal grants as well as the editor of SCOOP - the School of Education News letter. Furthermore I participate and collaborate with the faculty in the SOE on various commitees and events.
My service involvement is active at the University level. Apart from being actively involved at the university level serving on various commitees and chairing the RELPAD (Research Experiential Learning and Performing ArtsDay) commitee, I have also contributed university wide by conducting grant writing workshop, serving on panels such as the Academic symposium, and International Education Week panel to name a few. I also had the privelege of serving on the Board of Trustees Institutional Advancement Board.
At the National, and State/Regional levels I have served as a reviewer for national and regional conferences, served on focus groups (OSEP- Office of Special Education Programs) studying the impact of federal funding to improve services for students with disabilities, and established partnership with the FLDOE (Florida Department of Education) initiatives.
